Soft sealing gate valve are divided in rising stem and non rising stem. Usually, rising stem gate valve is expensive than non rising stem gate valve. Soft sealing gate valve body and gate are usually made of cast iron and the sealing material is usually EPDM and NBR. Nominal pressure of the soft gate valve is PN10,PN16 or Class150. We can choose the suitable valve according the medium and pressure.

The stem nut of the rising stem gate valve is set on the valve cover or bracket. When the valve is opened and closed, the stem is lifted and lowered by rotating the screw nut. In this structure, the thread of the valve stem is not in contact with the medium, and is not easily corroded by the medium, and at the same time, it is beneficial to the lubrication of the thread part of the valve stem.
